The final MTC email from Sys Hosenfeld

The word of this week since Tuesday (my last P-Day) is this: Sentimental.

I am beginning to realize how much I love the time I spend here. I will be the first one to tell you that I have been counting down until October 1st for the past month, but I really enjoy my time here. I love the spirit I feel every day, the opportunity I have to teach in a good setting, and the great friends I have made. I just feel overwhelmingly blessed and looked-out for.

Although I wasn't able to host her, I saw Kuzco (close friend from Brighton Camp) the day she entered the MTC. It was the most perfect moment of the whole week because I missed her so much and I love seeing ANYONE from the outside world, especially one that I care about so much. It was perfect. It was a tender mercy because there are HUNDREDS of missionaries that enter the MTC every Wednesday, and I knew that the chances of me seeing one particular missionary was very slim. So I  said a little prayer in my heart that I would be able to see her, and less than one minute later, there she was! I have grown a much stronger testimony of prayer here. God hears us. He really does. He knows every single one of us and he loves all of us SO much that he will listen and answer every single prayer we say- whether big or small. I know that this is true. God is real and he is like any father- he will never turn away from His children.

I was teaching an investigator about keeping the Sabbath Day holy and wanted to use a personal experience, but realized that I couldn't think of one. I know that I am blessed when I follow that commandment, but I need a specific one that I can share. Do you have any?

Today was the last day teaching investigators- how insane is that? I am growing up, parents!

Love,
Syster Hosenfeld

P.S. It is really weird to think that the next email I send to you will be from Sweden... crazy!

The final pics sent from the MTC - she leaves on Monday!!

I received 7 letters in one DAY! I love you, family. You are my favorite.
That is our "ten-year-old" investigator, Adam, the last time we taught him. We gave him a "missionary tag" on our last lesson. It was sad knowing that it was the last lesson that I would give to him. :)
